So although it is late and I'm ready to crawl into bed, I just received news that a friend from high school has been diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Stage 4 brain tumor. Yeah, no fun. Jude was set up with an episode of Super Why, so I went to our "grand hallway" to sit on the couch and read. I soon had a visitor who stole my book and began flipping through the pages as though he were actually speed reading the book. The best part was he even licked his finger a couple of times before turning the page... but he wasn't messing around so he just stuck his whole index finger in his mouth. It was awesome, but I couldn't get the wet finger on camera.

Well, I thought I was being smart by creating a bunch of posts at once and I planned on posting a new one every few days so people could see something new often, even when I didn't have time to make a post. What I did not know is that when I do create a new post, it goes to the top of the blog so people don't even see the updates! So for a little while you will have to scroll down to see anything new.

And yet another fun thing in California- the beach! It might be my favorite thing about going down there- it's a close tie between the beach and Disneyland! I loved discovering the undersea animals, holding the crab, and touching the sea anenomes- they tickle!

On another day in California, we went to Irvine Park, which is one of the coolest parks around. There is a duck pond, a train ride, ponies to ride on, paddle boats, playgrounds, and of course lots and lots of grass! Here are some of the things I did there. While my daddy was in Colorado, I was living it up in California! One night we went to the Orange County Fair and here are some pictures of me on the rides- it was so fun to finally be old enough to ride on some all alone! Exactly 3 weeks after giving birth to JuJu Bear, my mommy graduated! Yep, she's that cool! Of course, that was about 5 months ago, so why would I bring it up now? As it turns out, my mom finds school to be much easier than raising me...so she is going back to become an RN. Truthfully, she does enjoy raising me very much, but after having Jude, she realized her real passion is being in the hospital where the babies are born. She won't start nursing school until next summer, but in the meantime she is doing some prerequisites. Her goal is to become a Labor/Delivery nurse, and eventually a Midwife. Crazy, huh? Good thing my dad is AMAZINGLY supportive of my crazy mom!

We headed down to New Mexico and then onto Colorado for our 4th of July weekend. Here we are just miles away from New Mexico, where we had to stop for a "boo boo snack" which is what I call nursing Jude. Aren't we simply adorable?!

Well, Jude is about 2 1/2 months now and I still haven't sent these ADORABLE announcements out! I have gotten very sidetracked with other projects going on (not to mention trying to get through the day with 2 kids now!) My Chunky Monkey!!!!

Jude is the HAPPIEST, EASIEST baby EVER!!

My mommy always thought that I was a good baby, but nobody can compare to Jude! He is so quiet, mellow, and ALWAYS so happy! When mommy was pregnant with him, she quit drinking Dr. Pepper, and ANYONE who knows her, knows this was quite a feat! In fact, she quit caffeine altogether. We have no idea if this contributed to his goodness, but she says it was worth it, and certainly worth doing again...someday. (don't ask if she is on the juice again- the fact that she has me, a 2 1/2 year old, and does indeed have to wake up in the night- usually only once- should answer your question!)

Oh yeah, did we mention he is a CHUNK! Which is so fun since I was so skinny after I was born. Added perk- he doesn't eat every 2-3 hours like I did, he is perfectly happy even if he occasionally skips a meal!

As if taking maternity pictures, planning my baby shower, and bringing us meals after Jude was born wasn't enough, Megan took newborn pictures of Jude too!! Aren't the pictures AMAZING?! Jude was very good during the shoot, but he is so strong it was difficult to get a picture of him staying still. And getting a modest naked picture of him was nearly impossible because all he wanted to show off his man parts! So typical!

Well, as you can see, little Jude finally came!!! Although he was only 3 days past my due date, it felt like he was never going to join us. He was born April 3 at 10:49am. He weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces and was 21 inches long. The labor was wonderful and amazingly fast. My water broke around 2:30 in the morning and the contractions weren't too painful until I was given some pitocin, then they really kicked in. Luckily my epidural worked because I progressed from 3cm dialated to 10cm in about 2 hours!

Since coming home, we have just enjoyed being a family of four and all of the challenges that it brings (particularly the lack of sleep). Our little Jude Taylor is growing quickly and already weighs 9 pounds 6 ounces!! Leila is adjusting well and although she has been a great helper, I still won't leave her alone with him while I shower or sleep! We look forward to the adventures ahead of us and thanks to everyone who has been helping us make the transition!

FINALLY!! Some Christmas posts! These aren't even from Christmas morning- who knows where those pictures are?! I ended up having THREE Christmas' this year- one with Granny, Grandfather, Simon, and Jack which was AWESOME because I got A LOT of princess dress up stuff and a new baby doll. Then I had one Christmas with my parents (pictured above- they got me a REAL Cinderella dress, which only encourages me and my idea that I AM Cinderella!) Then, the "real" Christmas was in California with Maga, Papa, Semper, and Cole. It was a true California Christmas- warm, sunny, and beautiful (my mom loves sunny much more than a white Christmas). My parents even got to go to a Laker game against the Celtics- which we WON!! I stayed home to play with ALL of my new toys- an airport, a baby stroller (the carriage kind), movies, a Care Bear, a castle, and of course- a pink Mini Cooper. That's right, I am driving before either of my CA uncles- who are almost 18 and 21! It was so fun!

After Christmas, mommy, daddy, and I had an enjoyable New Year's together- mostly just enjoying that daddy had the day off. For Valentine's Day, we went up to the Draper Temple Open House with Granny, Grandfather, Simon, and Jack. Then I went bowling with Marc, Kimmy, and Alivia. I even got a strike! No joke, I truly did, just ask my parents. St. Patrick's Day will probably be celebrated with corned beef, green everything, and lots of pinching. And then there's Easter- I am most excited for Easter because it will be the first holiday I get to spend with my baby brother. Oh yeah, in case you didn't know already, the baby is a boy. My mommy wasn't planning on finding out, but the ultrasound lady told her on accident. I am so excited to finally meet him! I absolutely LOVE to kiss him and share my toys with him right now, my mommy just hopes I will still like it when he is acutally here...

It was a ton of fun! Although you don't see her in any of the
pictures my mom was there too. She took all the pictures and she
even went down the hill a few times too.

I loved going off the jump with my dad. I just couldn't get enough.

Well its been awhile. To be honest there is no valid excuse... just laziness and procrastination. But my parents have taken the camera out again and are starting to take more pics of me. I think they realized I am only two once and that its not going to get any easier with two of us running around.

Just so you know the basics of whats going on with us...

My mom is almost done with school. She will finish her online classes just before the baby is born, and will then graduate in April with a Bachelors Degree in Marriage Family Human Development. Yeah she is a good mom already but now maybe she can help my dad be a good dad. :) My mom is wonderful and she has a sneaky way of helping me and my dad become better with out telling us what to do... it is really amazing seeing her at work if you can pick up on her gorilla warfare like tactics.

My dad is still working for SunRoc as an insulation inspector. He helps people get rebates from the power and gas companies after they add insulation to their attics. He loves his job because he gets to help so many people out. Plus he gets paid too. In May dad will go back to school and study Facilities Management with a minor in Business and Spanish. He is very excited and we are excited for him.

As for me I am using the toilet when I can remember, and if I am doing pretty good if I say so myself. I even take off my pants, take off my diaper, and get up on the toilet all by myself. Also I spend alot of time hugging the baby, talking to him, snuggling him, and helping my mom when ever I can. Life is good! We are happy and greatful for all we have.

The trip was their birthday present to my daddy (he got alone time with mommy) and to me!! I also got this really cool bus and a new wardrobe of clothes!

On their last night in town, Maga and Papa took all of us to the Mayan- isn't my daddy so handsome?

Nope, that weird ball-looking thing in the picture is not a profile of my head 2 1/2 years ago...
I have a sibling on the way!!!
My mommy says the baby is not coming until around March 31st,
which is so hard for me because I want someone small to play with now!!!

So many people keep asking me if I will have a brother or a sister, but I don't know because my parents won't find out until he or she is born...
I know, I know, completely lame, but they didn't find out with me either and they said it was a really fun surprise, so I guess we will all just have to wait.
