Just needed to clear something up...
In our family, we have taken the "untraditional" path and Ewan is the one who updates our blog. I just hate plugging the camera into the computer. Too lazy! Now, because he takes care of this horribly strenuous chore to keep the grandparents happy, I usually let spelling errors or odd pictures stay put. However, I simply could not let all of you dedicated readers believe that I would EVER comment on the joy of a "granola" daughter!!! While it is nice to have someone sharing in Ewan's outdoor enthusiasm, I much prefer shopping which is not on the list of Leila's favorite things. :(

Layered Garden Baby!
I love my little granola girl! She loves digging in the dirt and composting, because she is so excited to find the life in things around her.
We are excited to start seeing the plants grow.
Compost bin with some freshly added grass to keep up the nitrogen. I put about 20 pounds of oranges from the trees at work, some alfalfa, kitchen scraps, a little dirt, some wet/shredded cardboard, and some sticks in. Just a few weeks later we have some nice compost. Night time Snuggles
So the kids were put to bed like any othe night, and after telling Jude to get back in bed multiple times we found this two nights in a row when we went to tuck them in.
